ANSWER

The final speed of combine bodies 3.67 m/s.

EXPLAINATION

Given

Two bodies are collide with each other and they move after combining together.

Suppose, Mass of both bodies are 1kg and 2kg. Initial velocity of both bodies are 5m/s and 3m/s.

WE NEED TO CALCULATE THE FINAL VELOCITY

Using conservation of momentum

m1u1 + m2u2 = mv

Put the value into the formula

1 ×5 + 2 × 3 = (1+2 )v
v = 11/3
v = 3.76 m/s

HENCE, THE FINAL VELOCITY OF COMBINED BODIES IS 3.67 m/s.
