we know that Kinetic energy is ,

 \frac{1}{2} m {v}^{2}

Also Kinetic energy is ,

 \frac{pv}{2}

where p is momentum.

 \frac{pv1}{2}   \times  \frac{2}{pv2}  =  \frac{4}{1}

Hence velocities are also in the ratio 4:1

Now , it's given in the question that linear momentum are equal.

m1v1 = m2v2

 \frac{m2}{m1}  =  \frac{v1}{v2}  =  \frac{4}{1}

 \frac{m1}{m2}  =  \frac{1}{4}

hence the ratio of the masses are 1/4
