(1/2 MV²) / (1/2 mv²) = 2/3

MV² / mv² = 2/3........ (1)

Momentum of first body = MV

Momentum of second body = mv

MV = mv

V/v = m/M........... (2)

Substituting (2) in (1),

M m² / m M² = 2/3

m/M = 2/3

M/m = 3/2

Ratio of first mass to the second mass is 3:2
