Let say two Bodies with Mass

M₁   & M₂

Where M₁  > M₂

Momentum of both are equal  = P

P = M₁V₁  = M₂V₂

=> V₁ = P/M₁    & V₂ = P/M₂

KE of Heavier = (1/2)M₁V₁²  = (1/2)M₁(P/M₁)²  = P²/2M₁

KE of Lighter = (1/2)M₂V₂²  = (1/2)M₂(P/M₂)²  = P²/2M₂

P²/2M₁  < P²/2M₂     ( as M₁ > M₂)

Hence Lighter body will have larger value of kinetic energy
