Explanation:

First boy can choose one number from 1 to 100 so number P_1 = ^{100}C_1

And another can choose one different number from the 99 numbers so different number P_2 = ^{99}C_1

So the total number of choosing different numbers  = P_1\times P_2  

Probability = \frac{ P_1\times P_2}{^{100}C_2}  

Probability = \frac{ 100\times 99}{^{100}C_2}
