Two boys are riding their bicycles on the same concrete road. One has new
tyres on his bicycle while the other has tyres that are old and used. Which of
them is more likely to skid while moving through a patch of the road which has
lubricating oil spilled over it? Explain the reason.

I think the one with old tyres will skid. Becoz the new tyre will have nice grip but old tyre don't .You can see the difference in the given picture.

The boy with the Old bicycle is more likely to Skid, because its already used up. Its tyres worn out. Now it Roughness is gone. Its nearly as lubricating as the Oil patch on the road. Their will be LESS FRICTION.
On the other hand, the boy with new bicycle, also has new tyres that are not used up. So it will have a better grip as Compared to old tyre.
