a)Transverse waves are produced in the string whereas , longitudinal waves are produced in the air.

b)In transverse wave , particles of the medium vibrate perpendicular to the direction of the propagation of the wave. In longitudinal wave , the particles ​of the medium vibrate parallel to the direction of the propagation of the wave.

c)Sound waves are the waves produced by the children .Sound wave is an example of a longitudinal wave.

d)The children are very interested to work out experiments based on the concept taught in the class. By this experiment , they will get a clear idea about the difference in the type of waves and their applications.
