Two brothers A and B invests ₹16000 each in buying shares of two companies. A buys 3% hundred-rupee shares at 80 and B buys ten -rupee shares at par. If they both receive equal dividend at the end of the year ,find the rate of the dividend received by B

A's dividend = par value*dividend rate*number of shares/100

                     = 100*3*200/100

                     = 600 Rupees =B's dividend (given)

B's dividend = par value*dividend rate*number of shares/100

             600 = 10*dividend rate*1600/100

              60  = 16*dividend rate

dividend rate = 60/16 = 3.75%
