mark point A at the top of red building

draw a line parallel to ground from point A connecting it to point B

the distance between A and b will be 15 m

( first side)( AB)

i.e. 36-28 = 8 ( second side) ( BC)

Now.

you can easily find it with Pythagoras theorem

AC² = AB² + BC²

AC² = (15)² + (8)²

AC² = 225 + 64

AC² = 289

AC = √289

AC = √ 17 × 17

AC = 17

Thus the distance between their tops is 17 m
