where P is power

R is resistance

in the given condition both the bulb is connected to the same source so , the current will be same in both the bulb

P1 is power in 50w bulb

R1 resistance of 50 w bulb

and

P2 is power of 25w bulb

R1 is resistance of 25w bulb

so

P1 : P2 = 50w : 25w

(I^2)R1 : (I^2)R2 = 50w : 25w (from eq 1)

R1 : R2 = 50w : 25w

R1 : R2 = 2 : 1

from eq 1

power is directly proportional to the resistance of the bulb

so the resistance of bulb 1 (50w) is more
