Answer:

second bulb

Explanation:

According to given data of question,

For bulb 1:

Power rating, P  = 60 watt

voltage rating,V  = 220 V

Hence, the resistance of the bulb can be given by

R_1\ =\ \dfrac{V^2}{P}

    =\dfrac{220\times 220}{60}

    = 806.66 ohm

For bulb 2:

Power rating, P  = 100 watt

voltage rating,V  = 220 V

Hence, the resistance of the bulb can be given by

R_2\ =\ \dfrac{V^2}{P}

    =\dfrac{220\times 220}{100}

    = 484 ohm

Since, the bulb is connected in parallel with a voltage source of 220 v so the voltage across both the bulb will same i.e. 220 V.

And as the power is given by

P\ =\ \dfrac{V^}{R}

As we can see power is inversely proportional here so the brightness of that bulb will be more whose resistance will be low.

so, second bulb will glow brighter than the first bulb.
