Answer:

Here, The 2nd bulb would brighter than 1st one.

Explanation:

Here, As given in our question,

=Power of 1st bulb=60W

=Power of 2nd bulb=100W

=P.D.(Potential Difference) across both bulbs=220V

=Now, Resistance of 1st bulb=Power=(P.D.)^2/Resistance

=60=220×220/R

=60R=220×220

=R=(220×220)/60

=R=806.67 ohms

Now, As like first,

=Resistance of 2nd bulb=Power=(P.D.)^2/R

=100=220×220/R

=100R=220×220

=R=(220×220)/100

=R=484 ohms

Now, As it is considered that the bulb or electrical equipment has more resistance, the lesser current flows in it,

So, Resistance is inversely proportional to Current.

In our solution, the 1st bulb has more Resistance than 2nd one, So, Current would flow lesser in 1st bulb than 2nd one.

So, the 2nd bulb of Power 100W would glow more brighter as the 2nd bulb has less resistance than the 1st bulb of Power 60W.

Thank you.
