Given:

Two buses are moving towards each other with a speed of 20km/h respectively

To find:

The distance between the two buses before one second they collide

Solution:

The speed of the buses is 20km/hr each

now we will convert in m/sec by multiplying the speed with the 5/18.

  • 20\frac{5}{18} m/sec
  • 10\frac{5}{9} m/sec
  • \frac{50}{9} m/sec

So each of the buses will cover 50/9 m in one second.

So, just before the one second of the collision, both buses will cover the same as both of the buses have the same speed.

So the distance between them is given by:

  • 2.\frac{50}{9} m
  • \frac{100}{9} m

Hence, the distance between the buses before one second they collide is 100/9 m
