Correct Question :-

  • Two buses are starting from same place at same time and moving in opposite direction with a speed of 50 kmph and 60kmph respectively then find the distance between the two buses after 5 hrs

Required Answer :-

Relative speed of the buses ,

                Sᵣ = 50 + 60 km/h

                    = 110 km/h

Total time , t = 5 hrs

Distance b/w buses , D = ? km

We know that , " Speed is defined as distance traveled per unit time "

:\implies \textsf{\textbf{Speed}}\ =\ \dfrac{\textsf{\textbf{Distance}}}{\textsf{\textbf{Time}}}

:\implies \sf S_r = \dfrac{D}{t}

:\implies \sf 110 = \dfrac{D}{5}

:\implies \sf D=110 \times 5

:\implies \sf \textsf{\textbf{ D\ =\ 550\ km}}\ \; \red{\bigstar}

Distance b/w two buses after 5 hrs is 550 km .
