Answer:

12:10 pm

Step-by-step explanation:

LCM OF TIME OF BUS A and B

Prime factorisation method

10= 2×5

14=2×7

LCM=2×5×7

= 70 minutes (1 hour 10 minutes)

The buses stopped together at 11am

They will meet again at 11am + 1hr 10 min=12:10pm

ANS:They will meet next at 12:10pm .

The time when both the buses will be at the bus stop will be 12:10 pm i.e. 70 mins after 11 am.

It is given in the question that Bus A runs every 10 minutes

so, performing the prime factorization of 10

10 = 2×5

It is given in the question that Bus B runs every 14 minutes

so, performing the prime factorization of 14

14 = 2×7

Now LCM ( lowest common factor of 14 and 10) =

2×5×7 = 70

hence, the answer to the problem will be 70 mins after 11 am which is equal to 12: 10 pm.
