Given :  Two business partners Jack and Jill decide to divide the profits from a business venture in the same ratio as their investments.

Jack invests $9000 and Jill invests $5000,

To Find : how much should Jill receive if Jack receives $3600

Solution:

Jack invests $9000 and Jill invests $5000,

Profit ratio

Jack : Jill

9000 : 5000

= 9 : 5

If Jack receives  9   Then  Jill receives  =  5

If Jack receives  1   Then  Jill receives  =  5/9

If receives $3600 then Jill receives  =  3600 * 5/9   $

= 400 * 5  $

= 2000  $

Jill receive 2000  $
