Let the original number be x

\dfrac{2}{3} of a number = \dfrac{2}{3}

According to the problem given,

\dfrac{2}{3} of the jumber is less than original number by 20

A/q,

x - \dfrac{2x}{3} = 20

\dfrac{3x \: - \: 2x}{3} = 20

\dfrac{x}{3} = 20

x = 20 × 3

x = 60

\therefore{} The original number => x => 60
