Two candidates A and B contested in an election.The total votes polled were 9650.If A got 54%of the votes,find the number of votes received by each.

Total number of votes polled = 9650
Votes received by A = 54% of the total votes
= 54÷100 ×9650
= 5211
Votes received by B = 9650-5211
= 4439
