I like this question and would be happy to help you through this. :)

Answer:

Ist card = 1/ 13

2nd card = 10/ 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly we notice that 2 cards are taken out together but not together, one by one.

Secondly , the first card taken out is place dback into the stack so that means before taking out the second card the total number of cards is 52.

Probability of an event = no. Of favorable outcomes/ total number of outcomes

Total number of outcomes = 52 as the total number of cards in a paxk is 52.

CARD I

Probability that 1st card is an ace.

There are 4 aces in a pack of cards

Probability = 4/ 52

= 1/ 13

CARD II

probability that 2nd card is a numbered card.

There are 40 numbered cards in a pack.

Probability = 40/ 52

= 10/ 13

_______________

Hope this helps!
