 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

Car A is 500m is east of the crossroad.

Car B is 300m south of the crossroad.

The shortest distance will be the diagonal distance between there.

.............................................................................................

Find the shortest distance:

a² + b² = c²

c² = 500² + 400²

c² = 410,000

c = √410,000

c =640 m

.............................................................................................

Answer: The shortest between them is 640m

Solution:-

Given:-)
Car A is travelled in the Direction of West to North=500 metre

Car B is travelled in the Direction of South to North =400 metre

then,

Using Pytogoras theorem

we know that Pythagorean theorem,

So,

GIVEN :-base and perpendicular

Again,

H²=P²+B²

H²=500²+400²

H²=410000

H=√410000

H=640.31
