The velocity of object B in the rest frame of another object A is known as relative velocity.

relative velocity = velocity of A wrt ground - velocity of B wrt ground

Given in the question :

Va =8i +6j

Vb =12i +5j

in the questionit is given that we have to find relative of A wrt to B

= Vb-Va

=(12i +5j) -(8i +6j)

= 4i-j

Hence, the relative velocity is 4i-j .
