Two cars a and b are there and distance between them is 50 m .initial velocity of car a is 20m/sec and car b is 15 m/sec. 1:Find time after which car A overtake car B 2;find the position from starting point where overtaking takes place

The relatie velocity of the two cars a and b is=;20-15m/s. = 5m/s[since cars a and b are travelling in same direction]

Distance between them=50m

Tome taken to overtake= distance/relative speed

=50/5=10sec

In 10 sec, car a has travelled= 10×20m [distance =speed ×time]

=200 m

Thus before overtaking car b , car a has travelled 200 m from initial point.
