Answer:

Let the average speed of the car B be x km/hr

Average speed of the car A will be (x+8) km/hr

After 6 hours, cars A and B are 300 km apart from each other.

After 6 hours, distance travelled by car A would be 6(x+8) and that of by B would be 6x.

Therefore, 6(x+8)+6x=300

6x+48+6x = 300

12x+48 = 300

12x = 252

x = 21

Hence, the average speed of B is 21 km/hr and that of A is x+8 = 29 km/hr.
