Answer: the average speed of the car A in the race is 0.5 km/hr.

Step-by-step explanation:

  Average speed = \frac{Total  distance }{Total   time}

  Total time = 2+56+2 = 60 minute = 1hr

Distance 1 = Speed X Time = 7.5 X \frac{2}{60} = 0.25 km

Distance 2 = 0 X \frac{56}{60} = 0 km

Distance 3 = 7.5 X \frac{2}{60} = 0.25 km

Therefore, Average speed = \frac{0.50}{1hr} = 0.5 km/hr

Answer:

We know that

Distance=speed×timeDistance=speed×time

Distance travelled in first 2 minute = 7.5×2607.5×260 = 0.25 km

Distance travelled in last 2 minute = 7.5×2607.5×260= 0.25 km

Total distance = .25+.25 = 0.5 km

Total time = 2+2+56 = 60 minute = 1 hr

Average speed = 0.5/1

= 0.5 km/hr
