Two cars are 100 miles apart. If they drive towards each other they will meet in 1 hour. If they drive in the same direction they will meet in 2 hours. Find their speed by using graphical method.

v1 = 75 miles/hr
v2 = 25 miles/hr

● Explanation-
# Given-
s = 100 miles
t1 = 1 hr
t2 = 2 hr

# Solution-
v1t1 + v2t1 = s
v1 + v2 = 100 ...(1)

v1t2 - v2t2 = s
2v1 - 2v2 = 100 ...(2)

Solving (1) and (2),
v1 = 75 miles/hr
v2 = 25 miles/hr

The cars have speed of 75 miles/hr and 25 miles/hr respectively.
