Two cars C1 and C2 moving in the same direction on a straight single lane road with velocities 12m/s and 10m/s respectively. When the separation between two was 200m C2 started accelerating to avoid collisions. what is the minimum acceleration is C2 so that they don't collide?

\large{\tt{\bold{Relative \:Motion}}}

Acceleration of C1 w.r.t to C2\implies\vec{a1}-\vec{a2}

\implies\vec{a}_{c1} - \vec{a}_{c2}

\implies0-a

\implies (-a)

Speed of car 1 w.r.t car 2\implies\vec{u}_{1} -\vec{u}_{2}

\implies12-10

\implies 2m/s

i.e

 {v}_{1\:2} =0

speed=2m/s

Acceleration=-a

s=200m

v²-u²=2as

0-2²=2 x( -a) x 200

a=1/100m/s²

or

a=1cm/s²
