The second car, since mass of this car is greater than that of the first one. Therefore momentum is greater. So inertia will also be greater.

Hey there !

Solution :

Inertia can be defines as the property of a substance by which the substance remains to be going in uniform motion or at continues to be at rest unless an external force or factor acts upon the substance or the object.

According to laws of Motion,

Inertia is directly proportional to masses of the objects. Therefore More the mass, more the momentum and less the mass, less the momentum.

In the question, two cars are said to have different masses but same velocity. This can be given as :

Car 1 = 1000 kg

Car 2 = 2000 kg

Since Car 2 has more mass than Car 1, the inertia of Car 2 is greater than Car 1.

=> Inertia of Car 2 > Inertia of Car 1

Hope my answer helped :-)
