Two cars have started their journey from the same point. One is moving with a steady velocity of 10m/s and having an acceleration of 15m/s square and other one is moving with a steady velocity of 20m/s. After 5sec what will be the distance between the cars

Answer:

The Difference of Cars will be 181.25 m.

Explanation:

For Car 1,

Initial velocity (u) = 10 m/s

Acceleration (a) = 15 m/s²

Time (t) = 5 s

Distance Covered (S) = ut + 1/2 * at²

= 10*5 + 0.5*15*5*5

= 50 + 281.25

= 331.25 m

For Car 2,

u = 20 m/s

t = 5 s

a = v/t

= 20/5 m/s²

= 4 m/s²

S = ut + 1/2 * at²

= 20*5 + 0.5*4*5*5

= 100+50 m

= 150 m

The Difference of Cars = (331.25-150) m

= 181.25 m

Hope this helps.
