given :
let m1 and m2 be the masses of cars.
then m1/m2=4/5
let a1 and a2 be the acceleration of two cars, then
a1/a2=2/3
formula :
F= mxa
let F1 and F2 be the forces acting on each car
F1/F2=m1xa1/m2xa2
=4x2/5x3
=8/15

Let the masses be m1 and m2, accelerations be a1 and a2 & forces be f1 and f2.

We know that,

Force = Mass * Acceleration

So,

f1/f2 = m1/m2 * a1/a2

= 4/5 * 2/3

= 4 * 2 / 5 * 3

= 8 / 15

= 8 : 15 Ans.

Ans.) The ratio of forces exerted by each of them is 8 : 15.
