if two body travel in opposite directed then we can assume that a body is stopped and other is moving opposite to the first one with the speed of the sum of both's body speed.
so the final speed of going far from each other be (50+60) km per hour.
so, the final speed is 110 km per hour .
and the time taken after which they will be 550 km apart =(550/110) hr.
the time taken is equal to 5 hr.
because after 5 hour the car with speed 50 km per hour will travel 250 km and the car with speed 60 km per hour will travel 300 km .
hence the total distance between the both car will be (250+300)km=550 km.
