Two cars start from opposite points, which are 235 km apart on a main road. the first car runs for 60 km and takes a right turn and then runs for 30 km. it then turns left and runs for another 20 km and takes the direction back to reach the main road. in the meantime, due to a puncture, the other car has run only 45 km along the main road. what would be the distance between the 2 cars at this point? select one: a. 90 km b. 105 km c. 110 km d. 125 km

Small farmers keep substantial share of production for their own family needs. Only 25% of the people working in Rampur are engaged in activities other than agriculture such as dairy farming, small scale manufacturing, shop-keeping and transport. MNREGA has provided some support to the incomes of rural workers.

The correct answer is option (d) 125 km.

GIVEN-

Distance between two cars = 235 km

Distance traveled by second car = 45 km

Distance traveled by first car = 60km, 30 km, and 20 km.

TO FIND

Distance between the two cars.

SOLUTION:

We can simply solve the problem as follows -

It is given,

The initial distance between two cars = 235km

The first car runs for 45 km I.e AB = 60 KM

Then it takes right turn to cover 30 km I.e BC = 30KM

Then it takes left and runs for 20 km I.e CD = 20 KM

The second car runs for 45 KM I.e EF = 45 KM

Now to find the distance between the

two cars i.e. DE

DE = INITIAL DISTANCE - Distance covered by both the car

DE = 235 - (AB + CD + EF)

DE = 235 - ( 60+20 + 45)

DE = 125 KM

Hence, the final distance between two cars is 125 km
