two cars start off to race with a velocity 8m/s and 5m/s travel in a straight line a uniform acceleration of 1m/s2 and 1.1 m/s2 respectively.if they reach the final point at the same instant , then the lenght of the path is ----

For first car, u= 8 m/s^2 a= 1m/s^2
v = 0 ( the car stops).
For second car, u= 5 m/s^2 a = 1.1m/s^2
v = 0
Using the formula
v2 = u2 + 2as
s will be the length of the path travelled.
