two cars start towards each other from points 200 miles apart. one car travels at 40 miles per hour and the other travels at 35 miles an hour. how far apart will the two cars be after hours of continuous travelling.​

Answer:

given,

distance=200 miles

speed of 1st car= 40miles/hr

speed of 2nd car= 35miles/hr

To find: distance between car in 1hr

both car are in opposite direction

so,

equvalent speed =40+35

=75

we know that,

distance=speed×time

=75×1

=75km

in 1hr distance cover is 75km

distance b/w them in 1hr=(total distance -

distance in 1hr)

=200-75

=175
