two children had the same amount of money. one brought four drinks and had 40 cents left. The other brought three drinks and had $1 left. How much was each drink.

srivastavasuyaoyskop: total money be x. money left with 1st one is 40 cents. money left with 2nd child is 1 dollar which is equal to 100 cents. this implies that cost of 1 drink is equal to 1st child's left over money subracted from 2nd child's leftover money which will give the answer 60cents
