Answer:

  • Distance between their centres = 1.3cm

Given:

  • 1st circle with radii 3.5cm.
  • 2nd circle with radii 2.5cm.

To Find:

  • Distance between their centres.

Solution:

According to the question, there are two circles first circle have radius of 3.5cm and second circle have radius of 2.5cm and we are said to find distance between their centres.

As we know the distance between the centres of the circles touching internally is equal to the difference of their radii.

Distance between the centres of the two circles = 2nd circle radius - 1st circle radius

= 4.8cm - 3.5cm = 1.3 cm

Thus, the distance between their centres is 1.3cm.
