Answer:

4.4

To Find:-

  • The distance between their centre

Given:-

  • Radius of two circles are 5.5cm and 3.3 respectively.

Solution:-

→ If the two circles touches each other externally , then the distance between the centres will be equal to the sum of

 \sf{r_1 \: and \: r_2}

According to the question,

 \sf{5.5cm + 3.3cm }

 \sf{8.8cm}

→ And if the two circles touches each other internally , then the distance between the centres will be equal to the difference of

 \sf{r_1 \: and \: r_2}

According to the question,

 \sf{5.5cm - 3.3cm }

 \sf{2.2cm}

Answer:-

The distance between their centre by externally is 8.8cm and the distance between their centre by internally is 2.2cm.
