Two circles have a common centre and different radii. The radius of the bigger

circle is 15m and the radius of the smaller circle 7m. Find the area of the portion

between the circles. ( = 3.14​

Let the bigger radius be R m and the smaller radius be r m.

Therefore,the area of the portion between the two circles=π(R²-r²)

=π{(20)²-(10)²}

=π(20+10)(20-10)

=π×30×10

=3.14×300

= 942 m²
