Two circular coils 1 and coil 2 are kept close to each other as shown in the diagram. Coil 1 is connected to a battery and key and coil 2 with a galvanometer. State your observation in the galvanometer:
a) when key k is closed.
b) when key k is opened.
Give reason for your observation.

a) a momentary deflection on galvanometer in seen on coil 2 due to produce of induced current.
B) again a deflection in seen on galvanometer on coil 2 but on opposite direction due to again a change in magnetic field line.
c) no deflection in seen on galvanometer of coil 2 because no current is induced.

Ans: (i) When key K is closed then there is momentarily deflection in galvanometer of coil 2. Because the current flows in coil 1 due to electromagnetic induction the current too start flowing in coil 2
(ii) When key K is opened then , there is no deflection of galvanometer in coil 2, because no current flows in coil 1 and no current will flow in coil 2.
Hope it helps...!!
