Two circular cylinders are formed by rolling two rectangular aluminum sheets each
of dimensions 12 m length and 5 m breadth, one by rolling along its length and the
other along its width. Find the ratio of their curved surface areas.​

ANSWER:- 1 : 1

Step-by-step explanation:

one cylinder will be of 12 m length and 5 m circumference.

=> curved surface= circumference× length

= 5×12 = 60m²

similarly other cylinder will be of 5 m length and 13 m circumference.

=> curved surface= 12×5= 60 m²

thus ratios are 1 : 1

NOTE:- IN BOTH CASES WE SEE THAT CURVED

SURFACE AREA = AREA OF RECTANGULAR
