Hi,
The volume of cylinder = πr²h
and given ratio of radius = 1:2
let radius of 1st cylinder= 1r
and 2nd = 2r
and let
the height of 1st cylinder= h1
and 2nd = h2
given volume are equal
therefore
π(1r)²h1 = π(2r)²h2
π1rh1 = π4rh2
1h1 = 4h2 .......... cancel out π, r
now
h1/h2 = 4:1
or 1:4
therefore your answer is 1:4
