Answer:

number of days taken by both clocks to show tha same time is 30 days

Step-by-step explanation:

given, both clocks were set the correct time  at 7 pm on a day

clock 1 loses 5 minutes in an hour

clock 2 gains 2 minutes in an hour

assume it as a 12 hour clock

for clock 1 to lose 12 hours it will take \frac{12(60)}{5} = 144 hours

                                    = 6 days

for clock 2 to gain 12 hours, it will take \frac{12(60)}{2} = 360 hours

                                   = 15 days

number of days taken by both clocks to show tha same time = LCM of 6 and 15 = 30 days
