Two coils are kept near each other. If a constant current flows through one, will current be
induced in the other? Why?

Due to current in the coil P, the Magnetic field will produce in the space near P.Another coil Q is kept in the magnetic field of P that will link magnetic flux.

When the coil P move then flux linkage in the Q will change. This change in flux in coil Q. emf induce (Lenz's law). and when the circuit is close then current will also flow through the coil.
