Two coils of insulated copper wire are wound over a non-conducting
cylinder as shown. Coil 1 has comparative large number of turns. State
your observations, when
Key K is closed.
Ker Kis opened.
Give reason for each of your observations.​

After observing the following diagram, we can give the following reasons for this observation.

Explanation:

  • When key K is closed, the galvanometer shows a momentary deflection.
  • Meanwhile, when the Key K is opened, the same momentary deflection is shown by the galvanometer but in the opposite direction.  
  • A galvanometer is an electro mechanic device which is used for indicating and detecting an electrical current. It works as an actuator which produces a rotary deflection by reacting to the electric current that flows through the coil on a constant magnetic field.
