Answer:

If two coins are tossed,

S = {(H,H),(H,T),(T,H),(T,T)}

:. n(S) = 4

Let 'A' be the event of getting one head,

A = {(H,T),(T,H)}

:. n(A) = 2

:. P(A) = n(A)/P(A)

= 2/4

:. P(A) = 1/2

Let 'B' be the event of getting no tail,

B = {(H,H)}

:. n(B) = 1

:. P(B) = n(B)/n(S)

= 1/4

:. P(B) = 1/4

Answer:

getting 1 head and 1 tail:

E9 = {HT, TH } and, therefore, n(E9) = 2. Therefore, P(getting 1 head and 1 tail) = P(E9) = n(E9)/n(S)= 2/4 = 1/2.
