7x+8x= 90 (measure of two complementary angles)

15x= 90 (added the terms 7x and 8x)

x=90÷15

x=6

7x=7×6=42 degrees

8x=8×6=48 degrees

Sum of the complementary angles= 90°

Ratio of the angles =7:8

Sum of the terms=15

So,

Measure of the 1st angle

 \frac{7}{15}  \times 90 = 42 \:

Measure of the 2nd angle

 \frac{8}{15}  \times 90 = 48

Therefore 1st angle is 42° and 2nd angle is 48°
