Two complementary angles differ 20 degree. find the measue of each angle

sum of complementary angles = 90°.
both differ with 20°.
so two eqn are.
x+y=90--1st eqn
x-y=20--2nd eqn

from 1st eqn
x = 90-y
put it in 2nd.
90-y-y = 20
90-2y = 20
-2y = 20-90
y = -70/-2
y = 35.
so x = 55.
