Let smaller angle be x and larger angle is x + 10.
Sum of complementary angles = 90°
According to question:-
x + x + 10 = 90
2 x +10 = 90
2 x =90-10
2 x = 80
x = 40°
Therefore, smaller angle = x = 40°
& larger angle = x + 10 = 40 + 10
= 50° Ans.
