Let the complementary angles be x and y.
So, x + y = 90 degree. (1)
and x - y = 12

From (1), x = 90-y
So, 90-y -y = 12
90 - 2y = 12
-2y = 12 - 90
y = -78 ÷ (-2)
y = 38

So, x + 38 = 90
x = 90 - 38
x = 52

So, the measures of two complementary angles are 52 and 38.

Hope this helps!
