complementary angle

the sum of two angles is 90°

let the smaller angle be x°

bigger angle be x+12°

x+x+12=90°

2x=90-12

2x =78°

x = 78/2 = 39°

smaller angle =x = 39°

bigger angle x+12=39+12=51°..
