since they are complementary,
x+y = 90
given x-y = 12
by adding 1 and 2
2x = 102
x = 51
by subtracting 1 and 2
2y = 78
y = 39
therefore the two angles are 51 degrees and 39 degrees.

A/Q-
x+y = 90°
x=90°-y-------(i)
and x-y =12°
x=12°+y-------(ii)
On comparing (i) and (ii)
90°-y=12°+y
2y= 78°
y=78°/2
y=39°
Since, x=12°+y
x=12°+39°
x=51°
So, the angles are 39° and 51°.
